Spoken after the sitting
Accounts from floors we have counted
These are not scores. They are what people said after a plate was hung or a sitting ended. Names of firms are withheld where the floor asked; the work itself is specific.
Plant supervisor, metals floor, Rustavi — workforce insight briefingThey hung the Friday plate in the canteen. People argued with the bars, which was the point. The day shift had been complaining about the evening crew for a year; the plate showed the evening crew was thinner by a third and still clearing the same tonnage. I still wish they had walked a night shift as well as the days. The picture we sat was honest for daylight and a little too polite about what happens after twenty-two.
Yard lead, dry goods warehouse, Tbilisi — overtime and idle-time mappingThe idle-time sheet had an arrow on dock three. We had been paying Friday overtime as if it were weather. It was a truck slot we never owned. I did not enjoy seeing it. The wrapping table, which I had blamed, was almost clean.
Pick supervisor, household goods, Digomi — floor-walk platesLevan walked the pick path twice and would not let me apologise for the crate that always sits by the door. The annotated plan made the crate look like furniture. We moved it the next morning. That was the whole finding, and it was enough for that week.
HR officer, food packing hall, Mtskheta — shift-load censusI asked for absences to be drawn without names. They were. The plate still showed Monday. HR had known Monday; the floor had not been allowed to see Monday as a shape. One steward asked to look before the sitting. Tamar waited. That pause mattered more than the ink.
A longer account: the print shop on the hill
A family print shop above Vake asked for a floor-walk because the evening bindery always “ran late” and the family had begun staying to help, which is not a shift. Levan walked Thursday and Friday. The plates showed the late run beginning at midday, when a plate-burner was shared with the morning jobbing press and nobody had written a handoff. The sitting was twenty minutes. The father said the drawing made him look stubborn. He was not wrong. They still commissioned the walk, and they still keep the plan above the kettle.
We do not collect stars. If a sitting went badly, we say so in the file copy. Write to the room if you want a study that can be argued with.
